The cookies we set — all of them.
No ad networks, no data brokers. Just the cookies that keep you signed in, the product working, and — with your consent — the analytics that make it better.
01What this covers
This Cookie Policy explains how EmailListChecker uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels, and SDKs) on our website and in the app. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and uses the same principle: collect the minimum, explain it plainly, and put the controls in your hands.
We do not set cookies for cross-site advertising, audience selling, or data-broker enrichment. The categories below are the entire list.
02What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. It lets us keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand which parts of the product work. “Similar technologies” — local storage, session storage, and pixels — do comparable jobs and are treated the same way here.
Cookies are either first-party (set by emaillistchecker.io) or third-party (set by a vendor we use for a specific function, such as payments). They also differ by lifespan: session cookies vanish when you close the browser; persistent cookies last a defined period.
03The cookies we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function — you cannot switch these off and still log in. They handle authentication, session integrity, load balancing, and CSRF protection.
- elc_session — keeps you signed in. Essential
- XSRF-TOKEN — protects forms from cross-site request forgery. Essential
- elc_consent— remembers your cookie choices so we don't ask again. Essential
Functional
Remember preferences such as theme, dashboard layout, and your default retention window. Disabling them degrades convenience, not security.
Analytics (consent-based)
First-party, privacy-respecting product analytics that tell us which features are used and where flows break. We aggregate and de-identify; we never sell this data. Optional
Payment & security vendors
Our payment processor and bot-mitigation provider set cookies during checkout and sign-up to prevent fraud. These run only on the relevant pages and are bound by data processing agreements.
04Managing your choices
You stay in control of non-essential cookies at all times:
- Use our in-app cookie preferences panel to grant or withdraw consent for analytics and functional cookies.
- Configure your browser to block or delete cookies — note that blocking essential cookies will break login.
- Most browsers honor Global Privacy Control (GPC), which we treat as a valid opt-out signal where applicable.
We re-request consent when our cookie use materially changes, and your analytics consent expires automatically after 12 months.
05Changes & contact
We update this policy when our cookie use changes; the “last updated” date reflects the current version. Questions about cookies go to [email protected].
